Passionate about communities

Originally from Varna, the sea capital of Bulgaria, I moved to Scotland to pursue a marketing degree, driven by a growing curiosity for graphic design. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunities I’ve had and for the incredible people who have supported me along the way.

My journey began as a volunteer in various creative spaces, where I gradually built my marketing and design skillset. Over time, this led me to launch my own solo venture—Verlova Design. Verlova Design represents the full spectrum of creative work I’ve been involved in over the past eight years. What started as a personal project has since evolved into a collaborative platform, where I occasionally team up with like-minded creatives to bring ideas and visuals to life.

I’m proud of the solo journey that has shaped the designer and creative I am today. It’s exciting to look ahead and see what the future holds—for myself and for the wider creative community.

If this resonated with you and you have a passion for collaboration I would be happy to chat!

A bit more about me now. I am a multidisciplinary designer and artist based in Scotland for over a decade. With more than seven years of experience in graphic design, illustration, web design, and visual storytelling, I help purpose-driven organisations bring their ideas to life through thoughtful, impactful design.

I specialise in crafting visual identities and creative solutions for charities, social enterprises, ethical brands, and small businesses – always with a focus on clarity, emotion, and meaningful connection. Whether it’s building a brand from the ground up or enhancing engagement through visual content, I aim to use design as a catalyst for positive change.

Outside of work, I find joy in painting, photography, and hands-on DIY projects, as well as exploring forests, gardens, and botanical spaces – always seeking new sources of inspiration in the natural world.
