Remembering Together

Remembering Together is about creating together, being part of a process to commemorate those who have lost their lives, and those who have experienced loss and change due to COVID. It is also about recognising and celebrating the ways in which Scottish communities have come together during the most difficult times. 

For East Dunbartonshire, the artist Elena Mary Harris has consulted with communities across the region to design and build 12 individual memorials, marked with 12 covered benches. Each bench tells it’s own story.  The walk represents how people were finding new routes through their communities and creating new connections through the pandemic.
